Ok, first i would like to say because i made this i don’t want any questions. I’m sorry if your question isn’t answered here, but thats not my fault. Well i hope this will help.
1.) First before you start your site make sure you know how to make layouts and they look good. You need a style sheet. Generators aren’t good. So use a style sheet. Don’t take anyones without permission though. And don’t ask for mine, if i catch you with it you will be in trouble.
2.) Make sure you know html. You should be able to make pictures, make links, make whore codes, and make style sheets. You can’t just wake up one say and say i want to start a layout site. I recommend taking a html class in school.
3.) Have different types of layouts. Some colored, some patterned, and some with images. And if you can, use different style sheets. Cause nobody likes to see the same thing.
4.) If you feel like you can’t get friends try s4s. But, if you have 700 friends don’t ask people that have 6500 friends to s4s. It’s not going to happen. So if you have 200 friends, then s4s with somebody that has around 400 or 500.
5.) Be nice. A layout site is overwelling. If you don’t have patience then i would not start a site. People ask the same questions over and over and over. You can just go off on them. Once in a while you will. But you can’t all the time. So be friendly.
6.) Don’t be afraid to ask people if they like the layout. And don’t be afraid to try something new. Ask what people think. If they don’t like it than ask for advice. And don’t be afraid to take the advice. There is always a way to make something better.
7.) Don’t let anybody rush you. They have no idea what is going on in your life. Myspace isn’t your life. So enjoy your real life and just do this in your spear time.
8.) Have a pretty default picture. Maybe made by photoshop. People will see it and it will draw them in. But if wont always fool people. They can tell if your a good site or not. So a picture will help, to a certain point.
9.) Think of a great, funny, or weird name. Make sure nobody has it. A good name will also draw people in. Don’t copy somebodys name. If you feel you don’t like your sites name then change it.
10.) If you don’t want to tell people about yourself then don’t. They aren’t here to learn about you. They are on your site to find a good layout.
11.) Don’t jock. You can get yourself in a lot of trouble. Jocking is against the law. It is stealing other peoples work. This also go for people that use my layouts. Jocking is stealing and stealing is against the law. And not giving credit is also jocking.
